BURNING MAN VR 3D CONCERT

ABOUT THE EVENT

A collective of technologists, artists and livestream professionals from around the world came together to create a series of never- before-seen live music concerts.

Filmed at and streamed from Social Sanctuary in Los Angeles, the concert event was curated and produced through a collaboration between 3D Live’s SuperSpace, Strangeloop Studios, Social Sanctuary and Infinite Playa.

“In the spirit of healing, recovery and overcoming adversity, we’ve found a common vehicle to unite through music at this year’s Virtual Burning Man Festival. This truly is the intersection of music, art and technology, coming together in a mesmerizing weekend featuring a stellar lineup of artists,” said Nathan Huber, CEO & Co- Founder of 3D Live. “We really have brought together the best possible team in the streaming business and have joined forces to present this first-of-a-kind immersive concert experience”

With headlining performances from Morgan Page and Big Gigantic fans got to experience holographic 3D experiences never before seen in an online setting. As part of the weekend, the team from Strangeloop Studios premiered a VR concert performance by XEN (of the Spirit Bomb virtual label). All of the concerts were then streamed into the virtual Burning Man world of The Infinite Playa where players were able to roam the landscape with custom avatars and explore alternate concert stages. Presented via the SuperSpace virtual reality livestream, the show shattered physical and temporal barriers.
